Rack & Pinion Cell Devices are used when opening of the door is controlled by central control to open the door. The door opens at a rate of 36" in 6 seconds and can be reversed to close or open at any point during the cycle allowing the central control or guard have full control of its position. To close the door the central control needs to energize the device so that the door returns to the closed, locked and secure position. Manually opening the door has to be accomplished at the Manual Release Cabinet located outside of the cell.
